The text-to-speech assistant lets you create voice recordings by simply typing your text. Choose a male or female voice, and the assistant generates a natural-sounding audio file you can use anywhere in your phone system.

How it works

  1. Go to the text-to-speech assistant in your dashboard.
  2. Type the text you want spoken.
  3. Choose a voice and language.
  4. The assistant generates an audio file and gives you a unique 5-letter code (for example XUIUD).

You can create as many recordings as you need. Each one gets its own code. Tip: keep a document on your computer where you note down each code and what it contains — this way you always have your recording library to hand.

Using your recording

Go to Settings in the dashboard and select the feature you want to add a recording to — for example welcome message, closed message, voicemail, whisper tone, or phone menu. Enter the 5-letter code and the recording is applied instantly.

If you have created multiple recordings for the same feature, a dropdown appears so you can switch between them.

Multiple languages

The text-to-speech assistant supports multiple languages and voices. This is useful if you have international numbers and want callers in different countries to hear a message in their own language.
